Even before computers had the power to efficiently desktop publish I was pushing the limits of my ZX Spectrum to generate graphical work and with that Sinclair machine you really had to be creative due to the colour restrictions the machine had.
Not just the 8 colour palette but also the dreaded colour clash.
I know that probably doesn’t mean much to you but it it really did mean that you had to be devious to achieve great looking images.
When I got the Atari ST I was gobsmacked by the ability to not only use select 16 colours from the 256 colour palette but also to be able to have one colour per pixel. I spent the summer months of 89 and 90 just designing graphics and sprites and incorporating them into my own games.
From the Atari I took the leap to PC and from there have never changed. The wealth of power and software is incredible and struggling for all those years in the 80s to try and achieve great graphics has paid off.
Today I can design anything from logos, flyers, vinyl banners, standees and much more and can provide all work in a variety of industry standard formats.
